Test information
Used in the investigation of carcinoid tumours Carcinoid syndrome associated with flushing of face, diarrhoea, a rapid heart rate and wheezing. Sent if positive screen at Hereford or monitoring known carcinoid patient.

Check pH of sample. If pH >4 then add 50% HCl drop-wise until pH <4. Measure volume.
