Nursing recruitment

Registered nurses, advanced nurse practitioners, midwives and current or aspiring health care support workers are being invited to a recruitment event for Worcestershire’s three acute hospitals.

The free event, taking place from 10am to 2pm on Saturday 1 October in the Charles Hastings Education Centre at Worcestershire Royal Hospital, will showcase the various exciting opportunities. Roles are available across Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust’s three sites – the Alexandra, Kidderminster and Worcestershire Royal Hospitals.

You will be able to chat to staff at information stands and get information on opportunities within medicine, surgery, women’s and children’s services, theatres, outpatients and clinical support roles, with our HR advisors available to give free 1:1 help and support on applying for vacancies. There will also be a chance to see and hear first-hand what it’s like to work for the trust.

Lisa Miruszenko, deputy chief nurse at the trust, said: “This event is for all registered nurses, midwives, operating department practitioners and current and aspiring healthcare support workers to come and see what fabulous job opportunities are available across our county’s hospitals. It builds on the successful recruitment campaigns we have recently held for other roles and we are looking forward to welcoming potential candidates.

“Whether you are working for another trust and looking for a change; thinking of coming back to the profession; or wondering about embarking on a caring role within the NHS, this is the event will have something for you.

“If you are currently working as an advanced nurse practitioner and considering a change then we are also interested in discussing what the trust can offer you.

Our nurse bank provider NHS Professionals will also be attending for those interested in more flexible working.

For those attending there will also be refreshments available and free parking on the day. Play specialists from the hospital will also be on hand to look after children during the event. Visitors are free to drop in at a time convenient to them.

Registered nurses can be interviewed on the day for a band 5 position, if they apply first online at NHS Jobs via www.jobs.nhs.uk/ searching for vacancy reference 365-WAHNT1519-4 (closing date Thursday 22 September).
