Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust move to appoint permanent leadership team

15 September 2016

Caragh Merrick

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust has advertised for a permanent chief executive is in this week’s Health Service Journal. The advert follows the appointment of Caragh Merrick as permanent chairman.

Caragh who commenced in post on Monday 12 September said:

“The CQC inspection raised concerns about the instability caused by the number of interim leaders across our organisation. It is important that we act on that, and we are looking to make permanent appointments to all vacant executive posts commencing with the  Chief Executive.  Once we have a permanent chief executive in place, we will work together to recruit to the other vacant senior positions.

“As a publicly funded organisation it is important that the appointment process will be based on merit, in a way that is open, transparent and fair to all applicants.”
